Need to film in a hard-to-access location where accreditation is impossible or where transporting a crew and equipment is impractical?
Want to build a digital library of locations for future productions?
Gaussian Splatting offers a fast way to create photorealistic digital replicas of real-world locations in 3D space.
How It Works
1. Scanning
The location is captured using a specialized scanning device.
2. Processing
The captured data is processed on a server to generate a photorealistic 3D scene.
3. Integration
The result is loaded into the Carrot hardware and software system, where actors and real objects are filmed in a chroma key studio within this virtual environment.
Everything runs in real time, fully synchronized with camera movement. The production team can immediately see the final result during playback.
All components of the scene are recorded during the process — including the final output, raw footage, clean background, and camera tracking data — significantly simplifying post-production.
This technology is well suited for film, TV series, and commercial production, as well as broadcast projects with frequently changing locations — fast, realistic, and efficient.
